Funnel definitions

One definition is one immutable, named version built from received Funnel events: an ordered list of stages, the client release range or exact versions it measures, and an explicit Active flag. Saving always creates a new version; an existing version is never edited or deleted.

New definition

For example onboarding. Kept exactly as typed.

Suggested automatically from saved versions with this name and editable before Save. A label is not reserved until it is saved, and it stays exact text such as 1.0.

Definition identifier: name-version appears once both fields are filled

Client release binding

Choose one binding for this definition. A starting release measures every release from that release (inclusive) up to the next distinct starting release saved for the same name, or all newer releases. Exact versions keeps the older explicit-version behaviour.

Three numeric components such as 1.2.3. It is free text and does not have to appear in received events; releases already observed are offered as suggestions only.

Several versions may be active at the same time. Saving this version does not deactivate another version, and it never deletes history or stops collecting events.

Received events

Only events that arrived with the Funnel category are offered here. The page never invents an event name, and the source shown with each event is the observed one.

Ordered stages

Every stage is one received event. The first stage has no incoming link; each following stage names one observed identity field shared by the two events it joins.

Saving creates a new immutable version. A duplicate name and version is refused by the server and the existing version is left untouched.
